2017 IEEE Vehicle Power and Propulsion Conference (VPPC)

2017 IEEE Vehicle Power and Propulsion Conference (VPPC)

Dr. Maarten Messagie is a co-chair during the 2017 IEEE Vehicle Power and Propulsion Conference (VPPC). Together with chair dr. Elodie Castex, he will host a special session on electro-mobility policies.

Dr. Clément Mayet will chair a special session with Prof. Pablo Arboleya (Univ. Oviedo, Spain) at the 2017 IEEE Vehicle Power and Propulsion Conference (VPPC) to be held in December 2017 in Belfort (France). This session will be co-organized with MEGEVH (French network on energy management of hybrid electric vehicles). The topic will be Innovative efficient systems for future railways applications and will present different innovative solutions to solve complex design, control, and energy management problems, as well as, specific modelling and simulation approaches of railway systems (trains, tramways, subways, etc.).

“The conference aims to provide a forum for sharing knowledge, experience and creative ideas in vehicle power and propulsion. It will include keynote presentations by authoritative speakers, technical sessions, tutorial sessions, poster sessions, special and invited sessions, and exhibitions. Technical papers, tutorials and industry participation are all welcome. Proposals of special sessions are also gratefully expected.

All presented papers will be included in the conference proceedings and transferred to the database of IEEEXplore and EI Compendex, and can be submitted to the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology for peer review (note that a mandatory extension of >50% is required).

Moreover, VPPC 2017 will be organized in a carbon care philosophy. We will try to reduce the conference ecological footprint. The CO2 emissions associated with the travel of attendees will be compensated by funding carbon reduction projects”.
