H2020 Project and Communications Manager

Context

The position is in the department “Electric Engineering and Energy Technology” which is part of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences. The candidate will work in the interdisciplinary research group MOBI. MOBI is a leader in electromobility research and socio-economic evaluations for sustainable mobility and logistics. It has an enthusiastic, international and multidisciplinary team of over 65 specialists. Over the past 5 years the group participated in 21 EU projects, 59 projects with the industry and 61 projects funded by national organizations. The rapid increase of research funding from H2020, in particular for battery related and electric vehicle research requires more senior project management for coordination purposes.

Tasks

  • Project financial follow-up, ensuring compliance with EC regulations
  • Cost monitoring
  • Preparation and submission of financial/administrative deliverables and financial reports
  • Contact with projects partners, including guidance on administrative and financial issues
  • Management of the international consortium of project partners and the organization of meetings and events for the project
  • Organizing and executing the required communication action points
  • Daily administrative support to the project coordinator (including updating the project management and intranet tools, minutes of meetings, …)

Profile

  • Master’s Degree
  • At least 3 years experience in European project management
  • Extensive knowledge of EU funding programs especially Horizon 2020
  • Demonstrated ability in managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work efficiently in a multi-cultural international team
  • Strong organization and time management skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks effectively and respect deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Affinity with / interest in technology driven projects
  • Strong communication skills in English are essential
