PhD: economic and social aspects of electric and autonomous vehicles

The Mobility, Logistics and Automotive Technology Research Centre (MOBI) at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel has a strong tradition in state-of-the-art research on e-mobility and socio-economic analysis in sustainable mobility and logistics.

A multidisciplinary team of more than 100 specialists addresses the challenges that the transport value chain faces, by integrating the engineering, economy, policy, sociology & environmental sciences.

The Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) has been a leading player in the Flemish Higher Education landscape 
for 40 years.

Project

The research project is situated in the domain of electro-mobility and international practices.

Your research will focus on the economic and social aspects of electric and autonomous vehicles, such as market development, infrastructure and policy.

Your Profile

You are a motivated researcher and have a good academic track record, preferably in Business Engineering, Economics, Economic Geography, Urban Planning, Engineering or Computer Science with a strong interest in Business. You are a team player. You are a good communicator and write fluently in Dutch and in English. You are willing to attend project meetings and travel abroad for meetings and conferences.
