ASSURED project presented at Smart City & Mobility Congress

ASSURED project presented at Smart City & Mobility Congress

Today, the ASSURED project was presented to the press and public at the Smart City and Mobility Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

ASSURED is a 4-year project co-funded by the European Union’s research and innovation programme Horizon2020. The project will develop innovative Heavy and Medium Duty vehicle solutions with interoperable charging infrastructure concepts. This game-changing technology will have a positive impact on performances, comfort and safety while reducing the Total Cost of Ownership and contributing to a competitive and sustainable mobility. Further to its development, validation will take place in six different sites across Europe. Four cities have already been chosen as demonstration platforms for user acceptance. More specifically, interoperability and fast charging solutions will be tested in real-life operations.

The uniqueness of the project is its consortium composition, as it brings together relevant actors along the entire value chain of electrified urban vehicles. It comprises 39 manufacturers, charging solution suppliers and energy providers, research centres, consultancies as well as transport authorities and operators. MOBI brings its expertise as key actor in the field and coordinates the overall action.
